Stumbled across this audio reading by Simon Le Bon about ‘losing (his) faith’. Funny enough, there’s a lot I agree with him about. Although I did not grow up Christian, I did grow up in a very Christian culture (North America) - and I used to love Christmas celebrations (commercialization killed that for me later on).

Although it’s very tempting to defer responsibility to God, I would like to see humanity taking responsibility for its own actions. There’s a certain bravery in standing up and saying ‘We’re alone, and there’s no one looking after us.’ It’s a kind of a liberation.
